Cold and Missing: Anthonette Cayedito

Anthonette Cayedito, a 9-year-old girl from Gallup, New Mexico, went missing on April 6, 1986. Her mother, Penny Cayedito, had gone out for the night and left Anthonette and her two younger sisters with a babysitter. When Penny returned home all of her daughters were there when she fell asleep at 3am. When Penny woke up at 7am she found Anthonette missing from her bed. There were no signs of a struggle, but the front door and screen door were unlocked. Despite extensive searches and investigations, Anthonette's whereabouts remain unknown. In 1987, a phone call was made to the police station, believed to be from Anthonette, but the call has not been verified. Police have suggested that Penny may have known more about the disappearance than she revealed and that she failed a polygraph test, but no suspects have ever been named in this case.
