It’s a challenge to do a podcast centered on cases with such little information so I appreciate the commitment. I prefer Ali-only weeks tbh. Those episodes are far more cohesive (and I actually listen all the way through). When Eli joins, they try to relate every victim or scenario back to themself and it takes the focus off the actual victim/case. (Ex: getting ready for high school and carrying a big bag #140). The empathy seems to go from genuine to almost dramatic when Eli joins and the tone shift from the first half feels off.
Also, shout out to Ali’s hard work in making sure accurate transcriptions of each podcast are available (not just AI). I’m sure it takes more time than we realize but for a few people, it means a lot. 🩶
